Introduction - Ramadan

Each year Canadian and the global Muslim faith greet a special month of Ramadan, a blessed month of the Islamic calendar year.

Abu Dawood (2356) and at-Tirmidhi (696) narrated that Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

Fasting In the Month of Ramadan Is an obligation upon every Muslim who is in sound health, Enjoined By Allah The Almighty.

Allah The Almighty Says:

O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become pious.

It's a time for spiritual reflection and growth, to help those in need, and to spend time with loved ones. It's also a time when Muslims around the world fast during daylight hours for the whole month of Ramadan. To fast one must eat in Suhoor (DAWN) time and break the fast at Sunset (Magrib) time. There are strict rules to follow in order to maintain the good fast and be accepted by the creator.

Al-Qiratul Quran - Recitation of Holy Glorious Book of Quran practices, learned, pondering meaning or even practice this a Qirat (special vocal sounding of the letter or verses of Quran), many benefit and spiritual guidance one's can harness in this blessed month.

Special Prayer: During each night of Ramadan prayer is performed in the congregation in local Mosques as well as at home, family togetherness bringing the spiritual blessing to the household and the community as a whole. Many food and money are given to most needed communities as well individuals and households who are affected by poverty, and distress.
